Yes it's that time of year already.

Emergency Contact

An emergency contact number will be provided to riders before the event if your family and friends need to contact you in case of an emergency.

Farrier

There will be a farrier on-site for the eight days of the ride. Service fees apply.

4:00pm - 6:00pm.

First Aid

St John Ambulance volunteers will be on the course and campsite daily. If you're not feeling well, head over to their van for treatment.

Gear

To avoid problems it is important that your saddle and gear fits your horse well. Regularly maintain and oil all components. Keep saddle blankets and girths clean of any dirt or lumps. Wear in any new tack
before arrival.

General Store

Will stock items such as merchandise, toothpaste, lip-eze, sunscreen, as well as all your
fundraising material.

Health

Before training, it is important to have a vet evaluate your horse thoroughly and to know what signs to watch for if problems arise.

Helmet

Our insurance company insists that all participants must wear a riding helmet. You have agreed to do this when you signed our conditions of entry and waiver on the entry form. If you do not wear a helmet, or remove your helmet and are injured you may not be covered under our public liability policy.

Horse Feed

Horse feed will consist of hay and Xtra-Cool supplied by Mitavite (fed twice daily). Xtra-Cool is a "cool energy" feed that will give your horse everything it needs during this eight day ride.

Information Tent

This includes the General Store and will be staffed by MS Events staff and volunteers. It will operate between 7:00am - 9:00am and 2:00pm - 6:00pm daily.

Injury

If you or your horse suffers an injury, please notify the MS Events Manager - Karl Kinsella. If you are unable to locate Karl at the time please leave a message at the Information Tent or with a course marshal, whichever is closest.

Lost Property

Please clearly label all of your property with your name and address. Found items will be kept at the Information Tent.

Sponsors

We thank our fantastic sponsors and supporters of this event and encourage you to support them.

Vet

There will be a vet and two veterinary assistants for the vet checks on Saturday and Sunday. The vet and at least one assistant will remain with us for the entire ride.

Vet Check

Horses’ health and fitness will be checked by a vet before the ride starts. The vet reserves the right to withdraw your horse from the ride at any time.

Water

Water is available along the route and at the rest stops. Remember to keep both you and your horse hydrated. Water provided by the Rural Fire Service tankers is not suitable for use as drinking water. Drinking water will be available in two large water containers.

Yarding

There are two options available to you. You may choose from a communal paddock which is free or Steel Yard for a fee. All yards must be pre-booked.

Zzzzz

The Eureka Bar is open until late each night but elsewhere around the campsite you'll have to be quiet after 10:30pm. You don't have to go to bed too early though as the course will open from 9:00am to 10:00am each morning so you can relax and enjoy your holiday.
