Rules of the Ride

• The ride is under the control of the MS Horseride Committee at all times and their decisions are to be accepted as final.
• All participants must wear a riding helmet.
• All participants 16 years of age and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times while riding.
• Your horse's health and fitness will be checked by the vet before starting the ride. On advice from the vet, the Committee reserves the right to withdraw your horse from the ride before or during the week.
• When riding please don't pass at a speed to unsettle other horses.
• Place a red ribbon in your horse's tail if it has a tendency to kick.
• Please obey road rules and regulations at all times.
• Halter and lead rope to be carried on the ride.
• There will be no alcohol permitted whilst riding.
• For the safety of yourself and others follow the marked course at all times.
• Obey volunteers at all times.
• Place all litter in bins at campsite or in rubbish bags on the trail.
• Campfires will only be allowed in designated areas.
• Noise is to be kept to a minimum after 10:30pm on campsite.
• Please assist with keeping individual yards clean by removing manure.
• Riders are responsible for their own horse and gear.
• Only alcohol sold at the bar can be consumed in the dining and bar areas. This is a condition of our license and must be obeyed.
• Dogs are not permitted on the ride.
